About

The  Stellar Community is a socially driven community and for-profit member of the non-profit organization, The Stellar Foundation (IEZEF), founded in 2017. The Stellar Community finances IEZEF and its humanitarian ventures. We believe in our founding motto: Igniting a Network Effect of Impact and Change! The Stellar Community, nevertheless, follows a similar purpose - to improve lives and empower progress in our societies, by supporting the biggest talents and brightest minds in different projects according to their area of skill who would be equipped to go on and empower and impact the society in a similar and even, far greater way. This is the "network effect", as we believe in a growing chain of impact. The Stellar Community is a community of incredibly talented young people. Clients of The Stellar Community are usually companies and individuals who propose projects to our diverse community of professionally skilled and talented members from different walks of life. This diversity among highly talented members of The Stellar Community contributes largely to the quality products and solutions offered by The Community. We seek to harness and empower the most talented youths in diverse skill areas and field of expertise whom would be very significant additions to the progress and growth of the community. The Stellar Community is mostly financed by external projects with clients as well as internal projects. We also strive to connect our best members for employment with amazing partnering companies. By so doing, we support very qualified young talents in an economy of extreme unemployment. Every year, we give away scholarships to motivated youths studying in developing countries and experiencing severe financial challenges. This scholarship ranges from partial to full scholarships to undergraduates and high school students that would cover all their tuition fees through school, given that they maintain an excellent academic track record.  We also run awards that support exceptional, uprising stars. Most of our awards, like The Stellar Prize, are run annually. Prestigious awards and recognition are given after the completion of every annual project. Winners of any Stellar Project are automatically considered for membership of The Stellar Community.  Membership of The Stellar Community is a highly selective and prestigious privilege that offers the chance for scholarships, employment, project funding, and investments.  Stellar Community members are equipped to succeed in their lines of interest and empowered to impact others likewise. Applications for membership of the Stellar Community for regular applicants are only open once a year for a duration of two months. 

Application for membership is currently open. The deadline for applying has been extended to September 23, 2018 23:59 WAT.  Those applying for scholarship via The Stellar Scholars Program still need to submit their application for The Stellar Membership Program and indicate their interest. Partial to full scholarships are given to high schoolers and undergraduate students via The Stellar Scholars Program. Any nationality can apply for The Stellar Membership Program. However, only youths between the ages of 15 and 35 are accepted for membership. You may follow this link to the application form.

Projects

We are kicking off 2018 with a new project for beneficiaries in Africa ad beyond. We would launch The Stellar Prize in 2018, and in coming years, we plan to launch projects for other disciplines as well, such as The Stellar Award in Computing and Technology, The Stellar Award in Engineering and Innovation, and The Sellar Award in Ideation for Communal Good. Many of these projects are still in the developmental and planning phases and woud be announced once all preparations are completed. However, we have launched The Stellar Prize, which would be focused on selecting and awarding talents in writing. Winners would automatically be considered for membership of The Stellar Community.     We plan to launch The Stellar Award in Computing and Technology in the coming years, when tech enthusiasts and programmers would gather around in a beautiful location for a worldwide hackathon.

    The Stellar Awards is also for people who have developed, engineered, or innovated a novel tool that would serve an important purpose, or answer and solve a pressing problem in the society and the world at large.

As we recognize our young talents, entrpreneurs and community builders in different areas of skill and rejuvenate in our communities the importance of declining areas of study like Literature and Computer Science, we also rely on your contribution in making this impact far-reaching and significant. As we strive to empower future leaders and changemakers, we encourage you to contribute in bringing this change to fruition. We wish to empower hardworking, talented, and enterprising youths, regardless of social background or status, to press on towards achieveing thieir goal and contributing their quota to the society. However, IEZEF, which is nonprofit and financed by The Stellar Community is targeted towards helping financially challenged youths in both education and health sectors. Please visit www.iezef.org . The mission of The Stellar Community is to harness the skills of our young talents in projecting them for opportunities that help achieve UN's most prioritized Sustainable Development Goals. As an example, with The Stellar Award in Computing and Technology, we plan to connect winners who have presented awesome projects in this Award with global investors and companies that may hire or invest in their businesses. By so doing, we give recognition to whom it is due, and in the same vein, increase employment for more talents to have a chance in life doing whatever excites them or whatever they are good in. Computer Science is underrepresented in many societal groups. This project is an attempt to close that gap. Even more importantly, we inspire to inspire. Hence, we foster a Network Effect of Impact and Change - which is the motto and driving vision of The Stellar Community and other subsidiaries of The Stellar Foundation (IEZEF).
